ABSTRACT
Sustainability is achieved by adopting sustainable design, sustainable manufacturing process as well as making sustainable products for use and post usage. The concept of sustainable manufacturing is being prevailed gradually in third world countries. Like other developing countries, in Pakistan too, the focus of manufacturers and consumers has been shifted towards the sustainable and energy efficient products. This paper examines the home appliance manufacturing industry of Pakistan with respect to approach towards sustainability.
