ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the concept of Power-to-Gas and the main systems that compose it: electrolytic cell and methanation reactor. With this concept, it is possible to obtain a Synthetic Natural Gas able to inject in the current gas grid, using both a renewable energy source to produce hydrogen and a captured CO2 stream to transform the hydrogen into methane. This has environmental benefits, because CO2 is consumed and converted in a valuable product.
