ABSTRACT
98Ionic conductivity (σ DC) is one of the most important part in solid polymer electrolyte systems as it will give better understanding of the ion mobility inside polymer chain. Therefore, the determination of bulk resistance (R b) from the Nyquist plot is crucial. Traditionally, the value of R b is extracted using the graphical method; however, the possibility to have inconsistent value of σ DC is high. Thus, in this chapter, the newly developed mathematical method using the Origin® software is introduced. The step-by-step guidelines to evaluate the R b, σ DC and Debye relaxation exponent, n using PEO/PMMA system as sample work are discussed in detail.
