ABSTRACT

The function of the segment erector’s horizontal movement hydraulic system is to feed the segment for erection; however, due to the large overflow loss of the existing system, the hydraulic system produced a lot of heat, which led to low efficiency. To solve this problem, a new type of segment erector’s horizontal movement hydraulic system was designed based on energy saving demands. The new system can realise energy recycling, and can ensure that the hydraulic cylinder is fast forwarded on a noload condition and slowed down on a load condition, which can improve work efficiency. The simulation analysis and experimental verification of the new hydraulic control system were undertaken, and the results show that the new system is reasonable, and that it has a significant effect on energy recycling and the utilisation of the system.
