ABSTRACT

In the face of the continuously deteriorating traffic environment, this research studies the key technology of automatic navigation target detection for visual vehicles. The image collected by binocular vision system is carried out with real-time processing, and MATLAB is used to simulate analysis of the related algorithms. It verifies that the method of combining threshold segmentation and morphological processing can effectively segment part of a road; quantitative symmetry obstacle calculation method can effectively detect the obstacles and achieve the automatic driving of intelligent vehicles for the purpose of effective obstacle avoidance.
