ABSTRACT
Signals are processed for a variety of reasons, such as to remove unwanted noise, to correct distortion, to make it suitable for transmission, or to extract certain meaningful information. In this chapter, the mathematical foundations of analog and digital signal processing will be given. Some examples of practical hardware implementation will also be introduced.
