Formation and test methods of the thermo-residual stresses for thermoplastic polymer matrix composites

The effect of the temperature on thermo-residual stresses of fiber composites was also studied by Favre (J.A. Barnes, 1994). The thermo-residual stresses can be discussed from three levels, i.e. constituent materials, laminate plates, and structure parts. The interaction between the fiber and matrix is shown in Figure 1 and the classification of thermo-residual stresses is presented in Table 1.
