ABSTRACT
Each BIU (Bus Interface Unit) is connected to two buses. Each LRM (On Line Replaceable Module) has two bus interface units, BIUx and BIUy, transmission through the X and Y bus. Each bus is driven by an independent transceiver in the LRM to prevent a single failure from adversely affecting one or more buses.
