Development and implementation of a product module division system based on the function–principle–structure

This paper takes the composition of the product components for the module object and considers the number of assembly and the relationship among the parts. With a gearbox as an example, we analyzed the Function-Principle-Structure (F-P-S) on the basis of the product module partition method and introduced the system of product module partition on the basis of F-P-S implementation.
