Mechanical performances of icing atop cement concrete surfaces coated with emulsion wax curing agents

In cement concrete pavement projects, the cement concrete pavement is likely to be bonded to stabilized or lean concrete subbases. Thus, it is a common practice to place a bond-breaking medium atop the subbase surface. The common practice in the United States is to place two coats of a waxbased curing compound on the subbase surface as the bond breaker layer (Okamoto 1994).
