Improved guidance on estimating humaninduced levels of floor vibrations can only arise from measurements taken from controlled studies.
In this paper, the authors present results of their investigation of single point acceleration response measurements of the footfall excitation of nominally structurally identical floors in the same building but with differing conditions of fit-out and services.
