ABSTRACT

The algorithm with damping factor is presented in this paper. The method can solve the displacement and plastic factor at the same time, it also can avoid the stress pullback calculation widely used in stress return algorithm. The damping factor is used to control the positive definiteness of the elliptic equation. The results of 2-D example show that the algorithm is feasible, the reasonable results can be obtained by using first-order finite element
