ABSTRACT

Yang et al. (2004) studied three-dimensional Green’s function for an anisotropic bi-material full-space. He found it very complex to determine the Green’s function pertinent to time-harmonic loadings, and he presented only the solution for steady-state case under moving load with constant velocity. Khojasteh et al. (2012) recently studied three-dimensional dynamic Green’s functions in a transversely isotropic bi-material full-space and half-space. Barbosa & Kausel (2012) presented a generalization of the thin-layer method, which is an effective semi-analytical method for the calculation of the Green’s functions for layered medium. This method allows assessing cross-anisotropic 3-D medium subjected to loadings eliciting nonsymmetrical wave fields. Ai et al. (2014) gave a solution for the axisymmetric dynamic response problem of transversely isotropic stratified half-space by employing the analytical layer-element method. After that, they presented an analytical solution for the axisymmetric thermo-elastic problem of stratified material with anisotropic thermal diffusivity due to a buried heat source (Ai et al. 2015).
