Effect of calcium aluminate cement on workability and compressive strength of fly ash geopolymer mortar cured at ambient temperature

To make geopolymers more applicable and reduce the heat curing energy cost, some investigations on ambient curing have been conducted. Researchers have tried to improve geopolymerisation by increasing the fineness of the fly ash (Somna et al., 2011). Other researchers have mixed fly ash with different additives such as rice husk ash, silica fume or metakaolin in the aim to make the reaction occur at room temperature (Rashad, 2013).
