ABSTRACT

As a corollary, the current predominant approach to design for fire safe concrete structures is still dictated by a lack of reliable design methods for quantitatively predicting the performance of a structure during and after fire. There is a lack of adequate data concerning the range of potential fire scenarios and the effects that this potentially wide range might on concrete mechanical properties at elevated temperature, hence on the performance of concrete structures during fire (Maluk, 2014).
