ABSTRACT

In this paper, four damage indicators based on modal frequency, principal component, waveletpacket energy and Covariance of Covariance (CoC) matrix (Li and Law, 2010) are studied. Then damage assessment is conducted based on fusion of these indicators using weighted average method, Bayesian theory and D-S evidence theory respectively. Numerical simulations of a 3-span continuous beam and a long-span suspension bridge are utilized to verify the effectiveness of the proposed fusion approaches.
