ABSTRACT

The equation of motion of an N-Degrees-of-Freedom (DoFs) structural system under is given as:

Mx Cx Kx LF ( )t ( )t ( )t ( )t+ (1)

where M, C and K are N × N mass, damping and stiffness matrices of the structure. Rayleigh damping is assumed for the structure. F(t) = [f1(t), f2(t),...,fm(t)]’ is a m × tn vector representing forces acting at m DoFs of the structure, L is a N × m mapping matrix associate with F(t). tn is the discrete time of measurement.
