ABSTRACT

At present, the main approach of aqueduct management is manual inspection. The advantage of manual inspection is that workers are experienced on aqueduct leakage and can judge complex real conditions rationally. However, as mentioned above, the “South-to-North Water diversion” project has hundreds kilometers aqueducts, which makes manual inspection a laborious and time consuming job. Human society tends to liberate mankind from laborious and monotonous repetitive works by means of intelligence and technology’s development. So a suitable method is expected for the aqueduct leakage monitoring.
