ABSTRACT
In the first section, the creative concepts of VFIFE are introduced. In the second section a VFIFE-FCM method is presented to simulate the cohesive crack propagation based on the VFIFE method and the fictitious crack model. The examples of simulating the crack propagation of three-point beam are presented. The resulted loaddeflection curves are compared with the literature results to demonstrate the effectiveness of VFIFEFCM method.
