ABSTRACT
Field Methodology for the present work extends to the use of smartphones, with mobile applications available on the internet for comparison against survey equipment and methods currently used in civil engineering construction. Smartphones with inbuilt sensors like GPS receiver, magnetometer and accelerometer have the potential to be used for surveying civil engineering assets.
