ABSTRACT

Table 3 shows the test cases of the long span transmission tower-line system subjected to nonuniform seismic excitations. Test 1 is the uniform excitation, because the apparent velocity, coherency and soil condition are infinite, completely correlated and mid-firm site, respectively. Tests 2 to 4 are to study the effect of the non-uniform excitations on the structures, and the effects of wave passage, coherence loss, and local site conditions are considered, respectively. Mid-firm and soft sites in the table are denoted by MF and S, respectively.
