ABSTRACT
The main objective is to explore what the appropriate metrics for measuring risk and residual risk respectively are given a certain risk, societies introduce risk mitigation measures, for instance risk sensitive design or better building codes. Risk after implementation is risk before implementation minus risk reduction; residual risk is risk after implementation. In a sense this is identical with accepted risk, if people were to know what their risk really is.
