An adaptive elastic scaled boundary finite element approach for limit analysis of structures

In this paper, the modified ECM is performed within the SBFE framework, where an automatic adaptive structural discretization is incorporated. It studies the performance of the proposed analysis method to capture the collapse load limit of the structures considered. A number of successfully solved numerical examples highlight the efficiency and accuracy of the method.
