1 INTRODUCTION

Exterior acoustic-structure interaction analysis tackles the coupled interaction between structural and unbounded acoustic domain. Sonar, damreservoir interaction, crack detection and acoustic optimization of vehicles are all engineering applications in this area. In general, a temporally local open boundary that can accurately represent the infinite domain over the entire frequency range is highly desirable in engineering applications.
