ABSTRACT
To predict the mechanical properties of the FRCC accurately, the FRCCs should be regarded as a multi-phase material and the effect of each phase such as fibres, matrix and microcracks should be considered, which may be accomplished through the approach of General Self-Consistent Method (GSCM) (Christensen 1998). GSCM is capable of describing the physical behaviour in the limiting case of a concentrated polydispersed suspension (Graeme 2002), and it is supposed to better present the mechanical behaviour of FRCCs.
