ABSTRACT
Cold cases are solved using a variety of means and methods. Modern technological developments are a leading factor, especially in the area of genetics (DNA). The discipline of forensic odontology (forensic dentistry) can assist cold case homicide investigators in a variety of situations. This chapter presents the practical use of forensic odontology in cold case homicide investigation through its use in the identification process and the role of bite mark analysis.
