ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Chaijiaxia Yellow River Bridge is a curved cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 364m, one of the largest in the world. Due to the limitations in construction conditions and expense, incremental launching construction approach is adopted for the Bridge. The large scale of the Bridge increases the spatial mechanical features, making it imperative to employ a specific study on the construction process. Firstly, the auxiliary structures established for the construction as well as the construction scheme are introduced. Then FEA analysis is conducted to obtain the stress states and deflections of the girder and the launching nose in different construction scenarios. Based on the analysis results, component advancement suggestions are proposed. The incremental launching system in which different types of data are collected and fed back is introduced. By the construction data feedback system, the launching synchronization and expected girder position are ensured to enhance the construction safety. Finally, conclusions are made based on the introduction and analysis.
