ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT During the benchmarking process of COST Action TU1406 a set of common roadway bridges from different European countries have been identified, selected and compared with an objective to validate the outcomes. The first task of the Case Studies working group was to select suitable bridges from different countries, with sufficient amount of information and data. Three different prototypes bridge typologies where considered: girder, arch and frame. After a prototype bridge selection, a representative for each typology was selected to identify the gaps between theoretical and practical approach. During the process, relevant Performance Indicators (PI) and Key Performance indicators (KPI) were identified and overall quality control plan was implemented by following the framework of previous work. At future it is intended to expand the work for each country case studies and compare the results to identify the main existing dispersion among the different quality control plans.
