ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Life Cycle Civil Engineering often focuses on technical parameters. When discussing the public funding of infrastructure networks, additional issues have to be taken into account. The Austrian Ministry of Transport has compiled a set of social, socio-economic and environmental goals for railway infrastructure. To preserve the value of a network it is necessary that quality requirements (e.g. technical, social, environmental) are consistently adhered to. SCHIG mbH is working on a framework to support decision-makers in the allocation of public funding. This paper shows the state of progress in this project.
