ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT The development of real estates in relation to the design process is increasingly based on sustainable aspects in order to ensure the value of real properties at an early stage. Due to this aspect, a holistic cost-analysis is important, which combines production and user costs for the life-cycle cost calculation on the one hand and the identification of the expected return and yield during the operating phase on the other hand. An automatic combination of the information included in a digital model with other complementary indicators is required for an early stage cost-analysis. As a result, specifications for the building construction and operational aspects may be planned in advance in order to create an economically built and operated property ensuring a sustainable value of the property. Main purpose of this article is to present this approach relating to the stage of development by using building information modeling techniques.
