ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Traditional maintenance methods require the consumption of big amounts of natural resources and reduce the road capacity, increasing in this way the environmental impacts. The HEALROAD project looks for a solution to these problems by developing induction healed asphalt mixtures which delay the wearing course replacement. To evaluate their sustainability, a preliminary life cycle assessment (LCA) has been carried out in this study analyzing the Global Warming Potential (GWP) and the Energy consumption.
