ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Currently, single circle with single layer and double circle with double layer are the main types of anchor cable encircled modes of pre-stressed unbonded annular anchors in tunnel lining engineering. The new encircled mode, double circle with single layer, is proposed as the design technique for the Songhua river water supply tunnel in China. The equivalent load method and the solid modeling method are combined in Flac3d 3D modeling. A numerical simulation of the pre-stressed effects of the single circle with single layer and double circle with single layer modes on the tension and operation of the tunnel lining was analyzed. The results indicated that the lining had a better stress distribution and pre-stressing effects under the double circle with single layer mode.
