ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Based on the shield tunneling project of the first phase project of Nanning rail transit line 1 in the section from Xixiangtang passenger depot station to University for Nationalities station, this paper discusses the main construction and technology measure for Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) shield tunneling in sand stratum section, including the repair and maintenance of shield machine before it enters the sand stratum, the boring posture and parameter control and other technical measures. By summarizing the construction experience in this section, this paper can provide reference for problems that can be encountered in sand stratum section EPB shield tunneling, such as the difficulty in establishing a balance model and the surface settlement exceeding standard, meanwhile it has guiding significance for EPB shield construction in similar stratums in Nanning district.
