ABSTRACT

In this study, a large range of sediment deposition will appear in the diversion tunnel inlet, which can bring the sediment into the water turbine unit during the operation of the diversion and power generation system, leading to the risk of improper operation of the turbine. Therefore, it is necessary to make an in-depth study on sediment distribution and movement in hydropower station water inlet and water diversion tunnels, as well as the influence on the hydropower station. The results of the analysis and conclusions will provide the scientific basis for the safe and efficient operation and management of hydropower stations.
