ABSTRACT

With the rapid developments of economies and technology, vehicle inventories have increased constantly, and vehicle management has gradually become the important subject in front of each region. In the existing vehicle identification system, most of which regards radio frequency technology as the core, but this technology needs the complicated equipment for the work. In order to realise the intelligent and brief identification management of a vehicle, this paper proposes the research of vehicle automatic identification system based on Web, and integrates and realises the information in this system. While dealing with vehicle images, it extracts the outline of vehicles. For the image processing part, based on Canny operator margin testing, it separates the images into sub images before the grey level processing (Guanghui Deng. 2015), and conducts margin testing after selecting the threshold value. The image collection equipment upload the images of targeted vehicles to Aliyun server; the system extracts the vehicle outline better and inputs the data into the database through an improved image processing algorithm. In the end, it analyses and calculates the data in order to acquire important information such as whether vehicles have been illegally modified, etc.
