ABSTRACT
This combination of a mild climate and large number of interested clients formed a fertile environment for modern individual and the later development of tract homes. This space for innovation was made possible by the Case Study Home project that began seven months after the end of World War II. It started as a social program by John Entenza (1905-1984), the magazine’s publisher and his assistant Susan Jonas who was the link to foreign architects and magazine editors.
