ABSTRACT

Recognition comparable to ‘a world source’, the myth foundation, attached to a fundamental religious experience and prior to any discussion on the origins of the world. The understanding of qualitative differences is for the religious man proof that the sacred space is matrix for the real and all the rest is therefore exterior and inform extension building out the surroundings. The recognition that space is not continuous is what enables the condition to think about the foundation of the world. The sacred, in manifestation, leads to a break towards the world`s homogeneity and at the same time it imposes and reveals the existence of an absolute reality, opposed to the surplus-that is the huge extension of the surrounding world. The sacred thus implies the need of men to support the world ontologically, establishing an initial centre, a fixed point of reference in such infinite extent.
