ABSTRACT

Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) of the pleura are uncommon tumors with benign behavior that can occasionally undergo malignant degeneration. Even with malignant degeneration, SFTs rarely invade the chest wall. We report the case of a patient with a large malignant solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) with chest wall and pericardial invasion, requiring extensive resection and reconstruction of the chest wall.
