ABSTRACT

This chapter investigates how Russian small businesses can develop their use of the social network Instagram. It provides the most popular Russian social networks and describes a review of custom applications that can assist small businesses to promote their Instagram account. The chapter shows that social media have a great impact on the development of small businesses in terms of improving customer relations and customer service, improved access to information, and reducing costs in terms of marketing and sales growth. It explores a number of enterprises using applications for the promotion of their account and explains some shortcomings in the entrepreneurs' work on Instagram. The rapid development of Instagram contributes to the fact that more and more companies are thinking about using the network, and some have given it absolute priority. Compared with other social networks, Instagram more than any other is designed for active users of mobile devices.
