ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the psychometric properties of the Indonesian version of the Work-Related Quality of Life (WRQoL) scale. WRQoL appraises work and non-work Quality of work life (QWL) and also stress in the workplace, expanding upon earlier theoretical models. The WRQoL measure has been applied on various organizational models throughout the world, and translated into various languages. The WRQoL allow researchers, organizations, and consultants to analyze and understand the quality of a worker's work life. Further research is required to improve the quality of WRQoL and evaluate its practicability to other domains and fields. It is also suggested to test WRQoL with a broad range of employee groups and in other cultures. Despite potential limitations, the validity and reliability support from the original English WRQoL scale and the conclusion suggest that the Indonesian WRQoL scale is relevant as an instrument to measure QWL in an Indonesian context.
