ABSTRACT
It is a pleasure to be here for what promises to be a very provocative and interesting discussion. I must compliment the Center for its ability to bring together such a diverse group of individuals. As the first batter up today, my task is to try to explain the role of pharmacy benefit management within the context of the evolving health care delivery system in the United States. I have 15 minutes within which to do that so I hope you'll indulge me if I oversimplify.
