The solution has converged to the undesired root illustrated by the small insert inside the linkage illustrated in Figure 3.1. This configuration cannot be reached if the linkage is connected as illustrated in the large diagram. However, this configuration could be reached by reconnecting the linkage as illustrated in the small insert.
