ABSTRACT
In literature, methane is given the most attention. It is the second-after CO2-most abundant gas which influences climatic changes.
The amount of produced methane in a landfill can be increased by adding sewage sludge (Pawłowska & Siepak 2006, Sanphoti et al. 2006, Sandip & Kanchan 2012). After a certain period of time, the emission of methane drops to the level where it is no longer practical to utilize it for energy generation (Themelis & Ulloa 2007, Reichenauer et al. 2011).
