ABSTRACT
The main odour sources at 100 German sewage treatment plants were identified by Frechen (1988) by means of questionnaires completed by the plant staff (Fig. 1). Similar results obtained by R. Barczak et al. (2012) are presented in Fig. 2. The odour concentration in different sites of WWTP (Warsaw) was measured using Ecoma TO8 dynamic olfactometer. The results confirm that collection chamber, screen room and sludge processing are main odour sources.
