ABSTRACT

When people are asked to make too many changes in too little time, they fight (resist) change, flee from change, or become paralyzed and inactive. With software such as Survey Monkey that makes it easier to create and send surveys and increasing efforts by organizations to collect data on many issues from their workforces, workers are experiencing too many efforts to capture their perceptions. They respond by resisting data collection, trying to avoid those efforts, or simply ignoring them. That is especially true if efforts have been made to collect data from them and nothing was done or communicated based on the information the individual provided.
