ABSTRACT
Examples of biometric databases that are growing exponentially are those managed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) [1]. By 2010, the DHS IDENT database had hosted 110 million biometric identities, including digital facial photographs, ngerprints, iris scans, palm prints, and latent ngerprints [1,2].
