ABSTRACT

Novel drug delivery systems have many benefits, which include improved therapy, increased patient compliance through decreased dosing frequency, convenient routes of administration and improved targeting for a specific site to reduce unwanted side effects. Physical picture of a porous solid particle depicts surface roughness, bink bottle, closed pores, transport pores and cylindrical blind. Adsorbent is placed in drug solution and the mixer evacuated for suitable time after which the vacuum was released. Adsorbent is stirred in drug solution or suspension followed by drying in simple tray drier. Hydroxylapatite crystals are also found in the small calcifications known as corpora arenacea or ‘brain sand’. Polystyrene is a strong plastic created from ethylene and benzene that can be injected, extruded, or blow molded, making it a very useful and versatile manufacturing material. Mesoporous silica is a form of silica and a recent development in nanotechnology. Zeolite is an alumino-silicate mineral with a porous crystalline structure that stays hard in water.
