ABSTRACT

Hyaluronic acid (HA)-based hydrogel has many promising potentials in its applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine as a scaffold due to its desired biological, mechanical, and chemical properties. Diverse chemical derivertizations of HA and the fabrications of HA hydrogels were discussed in detail. The fabricated HA hydrogel scaffolds showed their potentials in engineering and regenerative medicine of diverse tissues such as bone, cartilage, and blood vessel.
