ABSTRACT
184Solar paints or conducting paints have replaced the solar panels as it requires high installation and maintenance costs. Uses of cadmium and other nanoparticles as fillers to efficiently conduct solar energy have been extensively reported in the literature. However, these nanoparticles have adverse effect on the environment. In the present chapter, literature on carbon nanotube (CNT) synthesis and its use as fillers to induce conductive properties on paints is discussed in detail.
