ABSTRACT
Development of a natural resource like ground water is a concerted activity towards its sustainable use for human benefit. The concept of sustainable
use is related to various factors like the volume of water storage in the aquifer, annual recharge or replenishment, volume of annual pumpage for the proposed use, benefit-cost ratio of the proposed use, and environmental impacts of the proposed use.
